You know the song right?? While considering how to answer this I’ll share that this year has been, let’s say different than most. As we approach Christmas I will admit that my spirit has been affected due to many things, one of them being limitations on social interaction. Far and away my favorite part of this season is seeing friends and family, enjoying comradery and laughter. I have been so fortunate to have countless experiences and memories with loved ones dating back to childhood and the smell of fresh paint on the toy oven that my Dad made for me when I was 5. This year I will see some family and some friends prior to enjoying a very cozy Christmas Day with Mike, our kids and Duke. While I will miss those that I’m unable to see I am grateful that I can hear their voices and see their faces through the wonders of technology. I know that this crazy pandemic will pass and we will regain some of our past experiences and practices while enjoying the new ones we’ve created along the way. How I choose to finish the statement is this; ‘Tis the season to be grateful, patient, kind and respectful.
