First of all, the language just sounds better doesn’t it?? I realize that this comes across as immature but if you tell me that I can’t have something then I want it more. Choosing it less often, however, is far more comfortable for me. Given our current global climate of restrictions why would you want to impose more on yourself? A favorite guideline of mine is the 80/20 rule – choose to follow your ideal meal plan 80% of the time and allow for 20% indulgence. Actually do the math by assessing how often you eat daily then multiply by 7 (days in a week). 80% of twenty-one meals per week = 17 good meals, leaving 4 for less ideal choices.
