Why Walking Isn’t Enough

To be clear, I really enjoy walking and have been a much better owner to Duke (our family dog) in the past year. Mobility, stability and better posture are some potential benefits of walking. Weight bearing exercises, however, offer these and many more benefits including; preserving and building bone density that decreases as we age, strengthening muscles allowing us to do more, building muscular endurance through conditioning, changing the shape of our body, increasing our metabolism leading to fat loss, improving our sleep and increasing HGH (repair hormone) that also decreases as we age. While this list isn’t complete I bet there’s at least one benefit that piques your interest right? Find a workout buddy or a coach, learn the right way to perform weight bearing exercises and start changing your body today!!
