Words Are Not Enough

This was a little hard for me to write because I am a self proclaimed lover of language and have even recently stated that I have a word fetish. It’s no surprise to anyone who knows me or has even heard of me that I love to talk and I’m pretty good with the spoken or written word. What I mean when I state that words are not enough is that simply saying or writing down a decision will not make that decision come to life. Even if there is specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time dependant clarity to the spoken or written word it will only work when you back it with action. So by all means get excited about your decision to make something happen then use that excitement to come up with a plan and begin immediately. Believe me when I tell you that it feels WAY better to say, “just did it!”
