Building habits is all about consistency. The first time you exercise or add a serving of veggies to your day is only the beginning. The repetition of these experiences is what builds or establishes the habit and this takes time – months and months of time. You’ve got to get to the point where your workout is just something that you do, without question and half your plate is covered by veggies because you choose that. At this point the habits are well established or innate.
Getting there is where added accountability comes in handy. Sure there are some individual nuances to figure out in your fatness to fitness endeavor but that’s not what trips most people up. Checking in, asking questions and feeling supported by another person increases your chances of success by up to 95%. If you aren’t being accountable to yourself yet (as indicated by lack of results) enlist some added accountability to get the job done, for good!
