The Beginning

As Julie Andrews stated, it’s a very good place to start. The planning stage is broken down into assessing how you feel, what you want, and how you will achieve that. Let’s use the example of wanting pain free mobility by practicing range of motion exercises for 20 minutes on a daily basis. In order to get what you want you must begin the plan. This is where many people get stuck for various reasons so here are a couple solutions.

If the BIG picture seems daunting then choose (or create) one step that feels doable and do it. Using our example, choose your favorite r.o.m exercise and perform it for two minutes when you wake-up. This creates motivation and begins to build momentum. Both of which are fabulous fuel sources to keep going!

Self doubt is wicked roadblock that stumps all of us at one point or another and can be easily catagorized as negative or bad. A solution to this is striving for the feeling of hope. If we simplify our emotions as good, ok, and bad then hope brings us out of the bad realm. Good feelings foster good actions and the loop continues.

Try these solutions and start at the very beginning because it’s a very good place to start!
