The actions, recovery methods and foods we choose every day either help or harm us. Physical feelings are symptoms, or results, of these choices. If you pay attention and respond appropriately you can turn a bad feeling into a good one. Burning your hand (harm) by touching a hot stove is a classic example of this and other lifestyle choices can be deciphered with practice.

Overtraining is an inadequate balance of rest periods to work periods, within a workout or any given week. It can be evidenced by lack of results and/or injury (harm). Correcting this imbalance on your own or with the guidance of a fitness coach will improve (help) your results.

When food upsets (harms) your tummy, you stop eating it and you can apply the same behaviour if your current diet isn’t yielding the weight loss you want. Nutrient dense and naturally good whole plant foods are helpful for weight loss, healthy digestion, disease prevention and sometimes treatment. All meat and animal products are harmful for these goals.
